Take a look at all the confirmed incomings from a hectic week of Premier League business
Richarlison - Everton to Tottenham (£60m)

Tottenham have completed their fourth summer signing with Brazilian forward and former Everton talisman Richarlison joining on a five-year deal for 60 million pounds. Everton were reluctant to let their star man leave and reportedly wanted more than the 60 million offered for him. Still, in the end, they were forced into selling to give Frank Lampard some wiggle room in the transfer market and comply with the Premier Leagues' profit and sustainability laws. It's easy to see why the toffees valued him so highly, considering he was crucial to their battle to stay in the Premier League last season, ranking 1st for Everton in goals scored, shots taken, points won, and goal involvement percentage. It will be interesting to see how Spurs set up with him in the side, as Richarlison for Everton usually played either on the left-wing or through the centre, positions occupied by Heung Min Son and Harry Kane. Though with impressive attacking ability and defensive stats that are more indicative of a midfielder, the hard-working and undoubtedly talented Richarlison will be a great asset to what is becoming quite an impressive-looking Tottenham side.
Gabriel Jesus - Manchester City to Arsenal (£45m)

Arsenal have completed the highly talked about signing of Gabriel Jesus on a long-term deal from Manchester City. Jesus's desire to play a more regular role and Arsenal's need for another striker following the departure of Aubameyang meant that the deal was seen as a win-win for both parties. Jesus played 159 times for the Champions scoring 58 goals and assisting a further 32. Last season, he ranked 10th in total assists and 5th in assists from open play. Jesus fits the mould of players that Arteta has been looking to recruit, as he's young and not quite the finished product but undoubtedly has loads of potential. Jesus will add to what is already a robust department of young attacking talent accompanying Emile Smith-Rowe, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard, and Eddie Nketiah in Arsenal's attacking ranks, depth that will be very important if Arsenal want to compete for Champions League football while also playing in the Europa League.
Kalvin Phillips - Leeds United to Manchester City (£50 million)

Manchester City announced the signing of Kalvin Phillips on a six-year deal from Leeds United. Phillips leaves his boyhood club after making 235 appearances, playing a crucial role in their promotion campaign in 2019/20 and their highly successful return to the Premier League in 2020/21. Phillips then played an important role in England's Euro 2020 campaign before spending a large portion of last season sidelined with injury. With Fernandinho departing City at the end of last season, the move makes sense as Phillips should be able to replace him in the squad, though he will be competing with Rodri for the number 1 spot as a defensive midfielder. However, while the move makes sense for Manchester City, whether it is the right move for Phillips' career, I'm not so sure.
Sven Botman - Lille to Newcastle (£35m)

Newcastle have signed one of their top targets this summer in Dutch central-defender Sven Botman on a permanent transfer worth 35m pounds from Lille. The 21-year-old made 47 appearances for Lille in their Ligue 1 title-winning 20/21 campaign and made a further 32 appearances last season, in which they finished tenth. His challenges won percentage is an impressive 74%, the fourth-highest in Ligue 1, and he logged 22 blocked shots, the 14th highest in the league. Along with his defensive prowess Botman also contributed 3 goals and 2 assists. Eddie Howe will be hoping these stats will translate to the Premier League, but at 21 years old, Botman has plenty of time to develop further and will likely improve the Newcastle defence from the get-go.
Tyrell Malacia - Feyenoord to Manchester United (£14.7m)

United have made the first signing of the Erik Ten Haag era after completing a move for 22-year-old left-back Tyrell Malacia for 14.7 million pounds from Eredivisie side Feyenoord. Ten Haag has reportedly been scouting the player for a while, especially while still at Ajax. Malacia's speed and athleticism mean he can traverse the pitch end to end quickly and for 90 minutes, which is vital in Ten Haag's high-pressure style of play. What this signing means for the future of United left-backs Luke Shaw and Alex Telles remains to be seen, with one of them possibly looking to depart this summer. However, it's important to note that Luke Shaw is entering the final year of his United contract.
Sam Johnstone - West Brom to Crystal Palace (Free)

Crystal Palace have announced the signing of England International goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on a free transfer after his contract with West Bromwich Albion expired. Several clubs were reportedly interested in the 29-year-old, but Crystal Palace finally got the deal over the line after they had a 10m pound bid for him rejected last summer. Johnstone made 167 appearances for West Brom since joining them in 2018 and has also been capped three times by the Three Lions, and was included in last summer's Euro 2020 runners-up England squad. Johnstone will add depth to the Palace goalkeeping ranks and is reportedly seen as a long-term replacement for veteran goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.
Alphonse Areola - PSG to West Ham (£10.5m)

West Ham have made the signing of Goalkeeper Alphonse Areola from PSG permanent after the keeper spent last year on loan with the Hammers. The deal, worth around 10.5 million Euros, sees the goalkeeper arrive in London on a five-year contract. The Frenchman made 15 appearances for West Ham last season, keeping 8 clean sheets; Areola made most of these appearances in the Europa League. Areola should provide good cover for Lucaz Fabianski unless he takes over the #1 spot, which I would think is unlikely, at least at first. With another season of European football ahead of the Hammers, having a suitable cover will be critical to their success.
Dean Henderson - Manchester United to Nottingham Forest (Loan)

Dean Henderson has completed a season-long deal with Premier League newcomers Nottingham Forest. After two successful years on loan at Sheffield United had his name in the conversation for the England #1 position, the 25-year-old made only 3 appearances for Manchester United last season, none of which were in the Premier League. The news comes after former first-choice keeper Brice Samba announced he would leave the club for French side Lens and Forest announced they would allow US international goalkeeper Ethan Horvath to go on loan to Luton. Henderson and Nottingham Forest will hope that the promising young keeper can recapture his old form with regular Premier League appearances.
James Tarkowski - Burnley to Everton (Free)

Everton have completed the signing of former Burnley captain and England international James Tarkowski following Burnley's relegation and the expiration of his contract with the clarets. The 29-year-old played 192 games for Burnley and was consistently one of the top-performing defenders in the Premier League. Last season alone, he ranked first in aerial duels won, duels won, and blocks amongst all Premier League defenders, as well as ranking second overall in clearances and headed clearances. Frank Lampard and Everton will expect Tarkowski's arrival to bring much-needed stability to a defence that leaked goals last season and add some quality leadership to their ranks.
Giulian Biancone - Troyes to Nottingham Forest (undisclosed)

Nottingham Forest also announced the signing of 22-year-old defender Giulian Biancone for an undisclosed fee estimated to be around 5 million pounds. Last year he made 33 appearances and scored one goal for Troyes in Ligue 1. Steve Cooper and Forest reportedly value him for his versatility, considering he can play both central defence and right back, especially with it unlikely that the Reds will secure Djed Spence on a permanent deal. In addition, Biancone is competent in defence and attack, ranking 15th in completed crosses in Ligue 1 and 28th in successful tackles. These statistics suggest that Biancone will fit right into Nottingham Forest's counter-attacking style.
Joao Palhinha - Sporting Lisbon to Fulham (£20m)

Fulham have secured the signing of 26-year-old Portuguese defensive midfielder Joao Palhinha on a six-year deal from the Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon. Palhinha has made 164 appearances in the Portuguese topflight and 14 for the National team. Several other Premier League sides were interested in signing Palhinha, so Fulham will feel very pleased they could secure his signature. Last season Palhinha ranked in the 99th percentile for pressures per 90, with 32.2, in the 92nd percentile for blocks per 90, with 2.02, and in the 86th percentile for tackles per 90, with 3.04, when compared to other midfielders in the top 5 European leagues. Palhinha's style of play should suit the more physical Premier League and could make a key player in Fulham's return to the Premier League.
Stefan Ortega - Arminia Bielefeld to Man City (Free)

Manchester City have announced the signing of 29-year-old goalkeeper Stefan Ortega on a free transfer following the end of his contract at German side Arminia Bielefeld. The move implies that American goalkeeper Zach Steffen will be allowed to leave the champions on loan next season, with Middlesbrough looking the most likely destination. The goalkeeper made 220 appearances for Arminia Bielefeld, keeping 6 clean sheets in 35 appearances last season. If Steffen does depart as expected, Ortega will compete with 36-year-old Scott Carson for the #2 role behind Ederson.
Darko Gyabi - Manchester City to Leeds United (undisclosed)

After Kalvin Phillips went the other direction, Leeds United confirmed the signing of promising young midfielder Darko Gyabi from Manchester City. The midfielder has yet to make a competitive first-team appearance but had a strong season for Manchester City's under 18s, contributing to 10 goals in only 17 games. He then was moved into the PL 2 side, where he scored 1 goal and assisted 3 times in 11 appearances. With such a wealth of talent at Manchester City, the move makes sense for the young Englishman, though regularly featuring for the first team may not be something we see from him for a little while.
Rory Wilson - Rangers to Aston Villa (£350k)

Aston Villa have snapped up 16-year-old Scottish Starlet Rory Wilson from Steven Gerrard's old side Rangers on a deal reportedly worth 350 thousand pounds. The teenager has shown fantastic potential, scoring 49 goals in all competitions at the youth level for Rangers last year and shining for the Scotland U 17s. So keep an eye out for the name in years to come, as he certainly has the potential to be special.
Patrick Kelly - Coleraine to West Ham (undisclosed)

West Ham have completed the signing of promising Northern Irish youngster Patrick Kelly, who will at first link up with the youth squad with intentions of eventually breaking into the first team. The central midfielder scored 1 goal and assisted 4 times in 28 appearances for the Northern Irish Premiership side Coleraine.
