Premier League Transfer Round Up: June 13th-19th.

Take a look at all the confirmed incomings from the last week of transfer action

Erling Haaland - Dortmund to Manchester City (£51 million)

Starting with the obvious, Manchester City announced this week that they have signed Norwegian wonderboy striker and son of former City midfielder Alfie Haaland, Erling Haaland. The deal is an initial £51 million but will rise to around £85 million once agent fees and other expenses come into play. Haaland is, without doubt, the most prolific young striker in Europe. His incredible goalscoring record of 85 goals in 88 appearances for Borussia Dortmund will send shivers down the spine of every defender in the Premier League. The signing is a statement of intent from the Champions. They don't plan on slowing down any time soon. Whether or not the 21-year-old will hit the ground running or if he may take time to adapt like another former Bundesliga star Timo Werner, remains to be seen. Still, I wouldn't put it past the 6'5 striker to bag an impressive number of goals in his first season in England.

Darwin Nunez - Benfica to Liverpool (£85 Million)

Liverpool have immediately responded to Manchester City's star striker signing by signing a star striker of their own in the form of 22-year-old Uruguayan Darwin Nunez. Nunez scored an impressive 34 goals in 41 appearances for Benfica last season, including goals in both legs of their Champions League quarterfinal exit to Liverpool. Nunez is no stranger to high-profile transfers as he became the most expensive signing in Portuguese football history when Benfica signed him from Spanish side Almeira in 2020. With Sadio mane leaving for Bayern Munich, Nunez will provide the much-needed goals lost through his departure. Klopp will be hoping he can continue his brilliant track record of developing players and turn Nunez into a goalscoring threat on par with Haaland, Kane, Ronaldo and other Premier League goal machines.

Marquinhos - Sao Paulo to Arsenal (Undisclosed Fee)

Arsenal have announced the signing of 19-year-old Brazilian winger Marquinhos for an undisclosed fee from Sao Paulo. The winger made 17 appearances for the Brazilian side last season, scoring three goals and registering one assist. He has also represented the Brazilian national team at both u17 and u16 levels, scoring one goal in only a handful of appearances. While it's unlikely Marquinhos will burst onto the scene this season, Arteta will be hoping that this will be one for the future and will add to the already impressive crop of emerging young talent at the Emirates.

Yves Bissouma - Brighton to Tottenham (£35 million)

Tottenham have completed the signing of Brighton central midfielder Yves Bissouma. The Mali international was on the shortlists of several Premier League teams this summer, but Spurs will be pinching themselves that they managed to get the player for such a small fee, £25 million, with up to £10 million in add-ons. Bissouma played 124 times for Brighton, scoring six goals and assisting three more, but more noticeably has better tackles and interceptions per 90 than all of Tottenham's other midfielders. Antonio Conte will expect that the addition of the 25-year-old will bolster their midfield and strengthen the team's spine for what has the potential to be an exciting 22/23 campaign for the North London side.

Marc Roca - Bayern Munich to Leeds (£10 million)

Leeds have confirmed their third signing of an already busy summer window with the announcement of Bayern Munich midfielder Marc Roca for a small fee of £10 million. The defensive midfielder should provide a much-needed alternative to the injury-prone Kalvin Phillips. The 25-year-old Spaniard made over 100 appearances for La Liga side Espanyol before attracting the attention of German giants Bayern Munich who signed the player in 2020. Roca struggled to break into the Munich first team, only making 15 appearances for the club, and will be hoping he can revive his promising career with this move to the Lilywhites.

Gavin Bazanu - Man City to Southampton (Undisclosed Fee)

Southampton have quickly secured a replacement for the departing Fraser Forster with the signing of 20-year-old Irish goalkeeper Gavin Bazanu. Bazanu spent last season on loan with League One side Portsmouth, winning their 21/22 Player of the Season award, and has already made 10 appearances for the Republic of Ireland. It is rumoured that the deal will cost Southampton around £12 million and that Manchester City have included a buy-back clause in the contract.

Julio Enciso - Club Libertad to Brighton (£9.5 million)

Brighton have announced the signing of 18-year-old Paraguayan international Julio Enciso from Club Libertad for an estimated £9.5 million. The winger/second striker made 14 appearances for the Paraguayan side last season and notched an impressive 11 goals and 3 assists. Brighton have a good record of signing emerging South American talent, like Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo. Still, similar to those two signings Graham Potter will have to assess Enciso and decide if he is ready to play in the Premier League or whether he needs more time to develop, possibly on loan.

Mateusz Lis - Altay to Southampton (Free Transfer)

Southampton has further strengthened their goalkeeping ranks by signing Polish Goalkeeper Mateusz Lis on a free transfer from Turkish side Altay, where he made 35 appearances last season. Ralph Hassenhutl stated this week that Lis has all the attributes they look for in a goalkeeper and has his best years ahead of him. It will be interesting to see who starts between the sticks for the Saints come August with Lis, Bazanu, and Alex McCarthy all in contention.

Calvin Ramsay - Aberdeen to Liverpool (£6.5 Million)

Liverpool announced their second signing of the week with the acquisition of Scottish right-back Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen. The 18-year-old made 22 appearances for the Scottish side last season, scoring 1 goal and assisting 5 times. Scotland has also capped him at the Under-21 level. Klopp reportedly views Ramsay as long-term competition for Trent Alexander-Arnold and has no plans of loaning him out next season.

Nayef Aguerd - Rennes to West Ham (£30 Million)

West Ham has announced their first signing of the summer window in Moroccan central defender Nayef Aguerd. The 6'3 left-footed defender from Rennes will cost the Hammers a reported £30 million. Aguerd made 31 appearances for Rennes last season and played for the Moroccan national team, who he will likely represent in the Qatar World Cup next season. The defender will add depth to the Hammers' defence ahead of another season of Premier League and European football, this year in the Europa Conference League.
